The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects of rain for 4 days in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu.
In a notification sent in this regard, the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre mentioned:
“There is a part in the upper layers of the atmosphere over South India where the easterly and westerly winds meet each other. Due to this, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu today (Thursday, 20th April).
On the 21st of April (tomorrow, Friday), there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
Regarding the 22nd and 23rd of April (Saturday and Sunday), there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
On the 20th of April (today, Thursday), the maximum temperature in a few places will be higher by 5 degrees Fahrenheit compared to normal.
The Chennai Metro City and its suburbs will remain partly cloudy in the next 48 hours. The maximum temperature will be 99 Degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperature will be 82 Degrees Fahrenheit.”
100 Degrees Fahrenheit crossed in 13 cities!
The notification reports that the temperature has crossed 100 Degrees in 13 places: Karur Paramathi – 106, Erode – 105, Vellore – 104, Madurai, Namakkal, Trichy, and Salem – 103, Chennai Meenambakkam, Thirupathur – 102, Coimbatore – 101, Dharmapuri, Thiruthani, Thanjavur – 100.
