Beginning from today 12th January to 14th January 2023, as many as 16932special buses would be operated for the public. Today along with the usual buses, from Chennai as many as 651 special buses plus 1508 special buses from other places would be operated to transport the people. It is worthy to mention here that 14500 people from Chennai and 21000 people from other places have already booked their bus tickets to go to their hometowns in TN. On 12th, 13th and on 14th January, around 1.40lakh people have booked their tickets . It is a well known fact that for the Pongal festival many people usually go from Chennai to their home towns in Tamil Nadu to be with their families.
Arrangements are being made now to operate buses from the Madhavarm new bus terminus, KK. Nagar Municipal Transport Corporation bus stand, Tambaram MEPZ bus stand, Tambaram railway station bus stand, Poonamallee bypass Road bus stand and Koyambedu bus terminus etc. This would be mainly to reduce the traffic congestion. Till 14th January, 12 booking centres would function at Koyambedu bus stand, Tambaram Sanatorium and Poonamallee etc

It is now said that wne over changed by omni buses the passengers can lodge a complaint on 1800-425-6151, 044 24749002,044 26280445,044 26281611etc.At the Koyambedu bus stand, a control centre has been set up and 20 information centres have been set up at various major bus stands.
