In a move aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and improving train movement efficiency, the Southern Railway Administration has announced the rescheduling of eight trains. The changes in timings are set to take effect on different dates as mentioned below:
1. Chennai Central-Coimbatore Cheran Express (No: 12673) :
- Arrival at Katpadi station: Rescheduled to 11.53 PM (Previous timing: 11.48 PM).
- Arrival at Jollarpet railway station: Rescheduled to 1.13 AM (Previous timing: 1.03 AM).
- Effective date: 13th August.
2. MEMU Express Train (06725) for Melmaruvathur-Villupuram :
- Departure from Melmaruvathur: Rescheduled to 11.45 AM (Previous timing: 11.30 AM).
- Arrival at Villupuram Junction: Rescheduled to 1.20 PM (Previous timing: 1.15 PM).
- Effective date: 14th August.
3. Arakkonam – Vellore Special Express Train (06735):
- Departure from Arakkonam: Rescheduled to 2.40 PM (Previous timing: 2.05 PM).
- Arrival at Vellore Cantonment: Rescheduled to 4.50 PM (Previous timing: 4.35 PM).
- Effective date: 14th August.
4. New Delhi – Puducherry Weekly Express Train (22404) :
- Arrival at Chennai Egmore: Rescheduled to 9.40 AM (Previous timing: 9.30 AM).
- Arrival at Puducherry: Rescheduled to 1.20 PM (Previous timing: 1.15 PM).
- Effective date: 13th August.
The Southern Railway Administration assures passengers that these rescheduling efforts are geared towards providing a more efficient and comfortable travel experience. Commuters are advised to take note of the updated timings and plan their journeys accordingly.
