In a notification released by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
“A low-pressure zone which formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Sri Lanka areas drifted and presently it is located over the Kanyakumari Ocean having transformed into a depression zone!
This depression zone is likely to drift towards the northwest direction and may weaken over the southeast Arabian Sea!
Due to this development, there are prospects for mild rain for 3 days on the 27th, 28th, & 29th of December in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the maximum temperature will be 30 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 25 Degrees Celsius.”
