During pregnancy, good nutrition is very essential for both mother and baby. It is noteworthy that when a mother eats a proper healthy diet then it would support the growing foetus plus would lower the risk of complications and would prepare the mothers body for childbirth etc. Fruits and vegetables must be consumed by the pregnant mother as these would provide with the much needed vitamins, minerals, fibres etc

A pregnant woman must eat these fruits without fail. The fruits are

Bananas intake:

It is true that pregnant women could get morning sickness issues. To overcome that, they must consume bananas rich in potassium and vitamin B6.Intake of this fruit would also help in maintaining blood pressure also.

Berries intake:

Nutrients like vitamins, fibres and antioxidants are present in berries like strawberry, blueberry etc. Inflammation would get reduced in pregnant women when they consume berries.

Avocados intake:

For the healthy brain development in the baby, the mother must consume avocados without fail. It must be noted that avocados have healthy fats, potassium and folates etc in them.

Mangoes intake:

For the sake of the immune system to be good for both mother and baby, every pregnant mother must consume mangoes that are rich in vitamins A and C.

Pomegranates intake:

Blood flow would become better and foetal development would get support when a pregnant mother consumes pomegranates.

Apples intake:

Pregnant women must eat apples rich in fibres plus in vitamins A and C. Intake of this fruit would help both mother`s health and foetal health.

Watermelons intake:

The watermelon has high water content and when consumed by a pregnant woman it would help in maintaining fluid balance. Vision, immune system and skin for the baby would get developed well due to beta carotene that is present in watermelons.

Dried fruits intake:

Every pregnant wowoman must consume dried fruits like figs, prunes, raisins etc without fail. Pregnant women could get relief from constipation issues by eating fir or anjeer having fibres. Potassium rich prunes would help to overcome anxiety issues etc in the pregnant woman..

Fruits that must not be consumed by a pregnant woman are

Avoid Pineapples:

Pineapple has got an enzyme named bromelain is a well known fact. This enzyme would lead to uterine bleeding and heavy menstruation. It is believed that pineapples have uteratonic properties in them and it could trigger uterine contractions also.

Avoid Papayas:

It is brought out that the latex present in papayas could trigger uterine contractions in a pregnant woman. Truth is that unripe or semi ripe papayas would have high amounts of latex in them and pregnant women must avoid them. Ripe papayas might not create issues for pregnant women as it would have less amount of latex. So, please be careful.

Polyphenol rich fruits:

For normal persons, polyphenol rich fruits are superb for their health. For pregnant women, intake of these fruits (with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties) could be dangerous for foetal health. Examples of polyphenol rich fruits are grapes etc. Please take care.
