In some persons, excess fat would build up in our liver and this condition is termed as fatty liver disease. A person with this issue might show certain symptoms like abdominal pain, feeling of fullness, weight loss, extreme tiredness, mental confusion etc.

There are 2 types of fatty liver disease namely non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD and alcoholic fatty liver disease or alcoholic steatohepatitis.

It must be noted that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease could lead to severe damage to the liver etc. A person with high fat in the liver could get other health issues like BP, diabetes, kidney disease etc. Hence, it is necessary to get treated for fatty liver disease compulsorily.

There are few foods that can lead to fatty liver disease issues in us and we must avoid those foods for the sake of our liver health. These foods are

Avoid sugary beverages:
Sugary beverages like soda or sweetened iced tea etc would have added sugars in them and consuming these foods would lead to NAFLD in us. Instead of these foods, it would be superb to drink water, herbal tea etc.

Avoid processed meats:
It is true that processed meats such as sausages etc have high levels of saturated fats and sodium in them and excess intake of these foods could damage the liver leading to fatty liver disease. Hence, intake of leaner protein food like grilled chicken etc would be good.

Avoid refined grains:
Foods with high GI like white bread, pasta and other refined grains would lead to spike in the blood sugar levels at a faster rate and this would damage the liver. It is superb to eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread etc.

Avoid fried foods:
There are high possibilities for our liver to get affected if we consume fried foods like French fries, fried chicken etc. This is because of the fact that these foods have trans- fats etc in them.

Avoid excessive salt:
We could get water retention and liver problems when we eat foods with high salt such as salty snacks, canned foods etc. It would be good to reduce the intake of salt for the sake of liver health.

Avoid saturated fats:
It is important to note that foods with high saturated fats like red meat or full fat dairyry products etc could lead to liver issues. Therefore, we must not consume high saturated foods.
