The Department of the Primary Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered welcoming suggestions and recommendations from various sectors (parents, teachers. Academicians, scholars, etc.) regarding the enhancement of the quality of the Primary Education presently being imparted!
In this regard, the Director of the Tamil Nadu State Government Department of Primary Education, K. Arivoli, has sent a circular to all the District Education Officers (Primary Education):
“As per the Tamil Nadu Free and Compulsory Education Act, information has been sought regarding the localities where new primary schools need to be started, and the avenues for enhancing the Quality of Education being presently imparted in the Primary and the Middle – level school classes and other data and suggestions/recommendations received in this regard and send the same with statistical details and graphs to the Directorate of Integrated School Education.
As per this, the details of the residential areas where new primary schools need to be started MUST be sent with all required geographical and statistical data. Further, the complete details of the schools in those neighbourhood MUST be furnished
As regards the enhancement of quality of the Middle-level Education currently being imparted, a report must be sent confirming the availability of essential facilities! THE DISTRICT PRIMARY EDUCATION OFFICERS MUST BEAR IN MIND REGARDING THE SUFFICIENT STRENGTH OF STUDENTS!”
