In the state of Tamil nadu, the private milk companies have announced an increase in the price of milk now.The price of milk and curd has been increased by Rs 2 now.
There is now a high demand for Aavin milk as the difference between the milk prices of Aavin and private milk is up to Rs 20 per litre. In 2022, the milk milk sector prices were increased 4 times is known. Now, some private milk companies in TN have increased the price of milk and curd by Rs 2 per litre. From today onwards 20th January 2023, the milk price increase by 4 companies would come into effect in TN.
It is noteworthy that the private milk companies have sent a circular to milk agents. Truth is that the milk price has been changed due to the increase in the price of milk procurement plus due to raw materials etc. Therefore, the milk price has been increased by rs 2 now. In this situation, the TN Milk Agents Workers Welfare Association has condemned the increase in the private milk prices.
The private milk companies must be stopped from increasing the price of milk regularly. This was mentioned in a letter written by the association to the minister Mr. Murugan. It was also pointed out that the TN govt must take measures to fix the selling rates of milk etc.
